A look at what's happening in Cleveland State Athletics...

Men's Basketball
- The Vikings (9-21, 4-13) will close out the 2018-19 season this weekend, traveling to Youngstown State on Saturday, March 2.
- Last time out, Cleveland State played a pair of games against the top-two teams in the league standings, picking up an 83-77 victory at Northern Kentucky and dropping an 87-61 decision at Wright State.
- Jaalam Hill led the Vikings in their win over the Norse, posting his first double-double of the season with 26 points and 12 rebounds.
Dennis Felton Radio Show: The weekly call-in show about Cleveland State basketball will take place on Monday, February 25 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Al Pawlowski will serve as the host, with head coach Dennis Felton talking about all things Viking Basketball. The show can be heard on WHK, AM-1420.

Women's Basketball
- Cleveland State (10-18, 7-10) will close out the regular season with one game this weekend, hosting Youngstown State on Saturday, March 2.
- Saturday's game will serve as Senior Day, as the Vikings will honor the senior duo of Rachel Slaney and Mariana Bautista prior to tipoff.
- Entering the final week of regular season play, the Vikings sit seventh in the #HLWBB standings.

Wrestling
- Cleveland State (4-12) will take this week off as it gears up for the Eastern Wrestling League Championships next weekend.
- The Vikings dropped their regular-season finale to Binghamton, 22-13, this past weekend.
- Four Vikings won bouts in the dual, including a major decision win by freshman Ben Smith.

Indoor Track & Field
- The Vikings will have a few weeks off from competition between the indoor and outdoor seasons, returning to action at the Charlotte Invitational on Friday, March 15.
- Last time out, Cleveland State finished sixth at the #HLTF Indoor Championships, finishing with three All-League honors and 10 podium finishes.
- Hannah Gaskins placed second in the Pentathlon, while Monica Johnson (60 Meter Hurdles) and the 4x400 Meter Relay finished third – with the Vikings recording program records in all three events.

Fencing
- Cleveland State will take this week off from competition before heading to the NCAA Midwest Regional next weekend.
- The Vikings finished eighth at the Midwest Conference Championships, highlighted by a second-place finish from the men's foil unit.
- In the individual portion of the Championships, Ahmad Taqi finished 10th in the men's foil discipline.

Lacrosse
- Cleveland State (1-4) continues its road trip this weekend at Mercer Saturday, March 2.
- The Vikings dropped contests to Air Force (8-11) and nationally ranked Denver (8-16) as they took part in the Pioneers' Faceoff Classic this past weekend.
- Tristan Hanna had six goals and an assist on the weekend while Michael Wilson had a goal and six assists.

Men's Tennis
- The Vikings (7-5) will close out their current eight-match homestand this weekend, hosting Buffalo on Friday, March 1 and Xavier and Wooster on Sunday, March 3.
- Last time out, Cleveland State split its matches against Ball State and No. 18 Michigan, picking up a 5-2 win against the Cardinals and dropping a matching 5-2 decision against the nationally ranked Wolverines.
- Nico Mostardi picked up a pair of wins at No. 1 singles on the weekend, becoming the 11th Viking all-time to reach 60 career singles wins.

Women's Tennis
- Cleveland State (3-5) will try to extend its winstreak with a pair of matches at the MMTP this weekend, hosting DePaul and Notre Dame (OH) on Saturday, March 2.
- The Vikings went 2-1 last week, picking up a pair of 7-0 sweeps against Binghamton and Case Western, and dropping a 7-0 decision at No. 10 Ohio State.
- Isabella Spindler went 2-1 at the top of the singles lineup on the week for the Vikings, reaching the 50-win milestone for her career.

Softball
- Cleveland State (1-5) will close out the Hilltopper Classic with two games against Butler and Western Kentucky on Monday, February 25, before participating in the Liberty Spring Classic in Lynchburg, Va. this weekend.
- The Vikings dropped a pair of games against Indiana State (L, 3-0) and Western Kentucky (L, 10-3) to begin the Hilltopper Classic, with Kelly Hysong notching her team-leading second home run of the season against WKU.
- For the season, Kelly Hysong and Aly Packish lead the Vikings with seven hits each, while Hanna Griffin has a team-best six strikeouts in the circle.

Men's Golf
- Cleveland State will begin its spring slate at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, S. C., participating in the 19-team field on Monday, February 25 and Tuesday, February 26.
- Earlier this month the Vikings were selected to finish second in the Horizon League Preseason Poll, collecting two first place votes.
- Through six events during the fall, sophomore Zak Supelak led the Vikings with a 73.7 average.

Women's Golf
- The Vikings kickoff their six-event spring schedule this week, participating in the Islander Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas on Monday, February 25 and Tuesday, February 26.
- Cleveland State was selected fourth in the Horizon League Preseason Poll earlier this month, returning six players from last year's team that finished third at the league championship.
- Through five events this fall, sophomore Madison Butler posted a team-best 75.7 average, recording three top-five finishes.

Viking Of The Week
Hannah Gaskins, Indoor Track & Field
The sophomore recorded a pair of top-four finishes at the #HLTF Indoor Championships – placing second in the Pentathlon with 3319 total points and fourth in the High Jump with a mark of 1.66. Gaskins posted a school record with her 3319 total points in the pentathlon, earning Second Team All-League honors. She also ran the anchor leg of the 4x400 Meter Relay team that placed third overall in a school record time of 3:57.11.
