For the second straight year the Cleveland State men's tennis team finished at the top of the Horizon League, as the Vikings captured the Regular Season and Tournament titles.
The 2019 #HLMTEN Tournament title marked the seventh all-time for the Vikings, which is tied for the second highest individual school total in league history.
The Vikings posted a perfect 6-0 league record during regular season play, and entered the tournament as the No. 1 seed for the fifth time over the last 12 years. Cleveland State picked up a 4-0 victory over IUPUI in the semifinals, before earning a 4-1 win against UIC to clinch the championship.
Overall, Cleveland State finished the year with a 19-8 record - ranking eighth in the Midwest Region - and earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the seventh time under head coach Brian Etzkin.
After leading the Vikings to a top-90 national ranking throughout the season, Etzkin was named the Horizon League Coach of the Year, while Nico Mostardi was named the Horizon League Player of the Year, and Matthew Terry and Luke Phillips were named Second Team All-Horizon League.
