Cleveland State University is accepting applications and nominations for the position of sports information assistant. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and should have good communications skills, a knowledge of college sports and prior writing experience. Working knowledge of desktop publishing, web sites and previous experience as a student assistant in a sports information office or on a college student newspaper is a plus. Responsibilities include providing new content for athletic web site (CSUVikings.com), including writing features, game stories and blogs, assisting with video production of game highlights and taped interviews and exploring other new media publicity opportunities. Position will also serve as the primary sports information contact for several Olympic sports and assisting in the daily operation of the sports information office. The position is an eight-month appointment with a $8,000 stipend and a November 1, 2009 or sooner starting date.

Cleveland State University's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking hard working, dependable, ambitious candidates interested in college athletics careers for 2009-2010 internships and assistantships supporting Viking Athletics. Undergraduate degree and experience in an athletics department preferred. Outstanding undergraduate students seeking internship course credit may also be considered. Applicants must be team players with strong organizational, verbal, written and computer skills. Positions may offer NCAA Division I experience in academic counseling, alumni affairs, athletic training, compliance, fundraising, marketing, operations, sales, sports information, tickets and web-based communications. All positions include event management responsibilities involving evenings and weekends.
