Job Description/Responsibilities: Ten-month internship starting approximately August 17, 2009. Position does not require working over winter break. Hours vary but primarily needed for morning and afternoon coverage plus weekend event and practice coverage. Responsibilities will consist of care and prevention, rehabilitation, treatment, practice and competition coverage, and travel. In addition, the athletic trainer intern will assist staff athletic trainers in administrative duties consisting of medical documentation, completing insurance information and scheduling medical appointments. There are additional opportunities to earn extra money working clinics and summer camps.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field, NATABOC certified, Ohio Licensed or eligible, CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
Salary Range/Benefits: $10,000 stipend.

Position: Sports Information Assistant

Cleveland State University is accepting applications and nominations for the position of sports information assistant. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and should have good communications skills, a knowledge of college sports and an interest to enter the athletic publicity field. Working knowledge of desktop publishing, web sites and previous experience as a student assistant in a sports information office is a plus. Responsibilities include serving as the primary sports information contact for several Olympic sports, assisting with the revenue sports publicity, generating content for the athletic website and assisting in the daily operation of the sports information office. The position is a 10-month appointment with a $10,000 stipend and a August 1, 2009 starting date.
