    Vikings Open Fencing Season in Impressive Fashion

    Men and Women on Pace to Shatter Win Records

    Andy Tulleners is entering his third season as the head coach of the Cleveland State men's and women's fencing teams.

    In 2008 nine CSU fencers placed in the top 50 at the Midwest Conference Championships under Tulleners, along with eight placing in the top 20 at the NCAA Midwest Regional Qualifier.

    Last season he coached Liran Gross to CSU's first appearance at the NCAA Championships in five years.

    In addition to his time at CSU, Tulleners has served as the head coach of the Cladera Club team in Chardon, Ohio, and the Kent State and Lake Erie College Club teams. In 2007-08, Tulleners was a member-at-large of the U.S. Fencing Association Northern Ohio Division.

    Tulleners is a 1999 graduate of the University of Dayton.
