After spending the majority of his career at the corners, Dominic Erney will make the transition to catcher this season.
2004 - Junior Season
Second on the squad with a .306 average and 59 hits...started in all 51 of his games played, batting in the cleanup spot and playing mostly third base...had at least one hit in 39 of his 51 games...went 3-for-4 with a homer and a double at Indiana (3/6), scoring a pair and driving in one...tallied four hits against Detroit (5/14)...went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI the following day against the Titans (5/16)...3-for-4 with a double at Ohio State (5/19)...tripled and scored two runs against UIC in the Horizon League Championship (5/29).
2003 - Sophomore Season
Second team All-Horizon League choice at first base...named to Horizon League All-Tournament team after collecting seven hits and scoring six times in five games...started in all 48 games played...led the team with a .309 average, 26 RBI and four homers...tallied 56 hits while slugging .436...committed only two errors...posted 17 multi hit games, including five with three or more...drove in four runs on three hits and a home run against Butler (5/11)...went 4-for-4 with two doubles and three runs against Wright State (5/23) in the Horizon League Championship...tallied seven hits and six runs in the five tournament games.
2002 - Freshman Season
Played in 50 games, starting 46...led the Vikings with a .311 batting average, 55 hits, 15 doubles and 32 RBI...also had two home runs and a .429 slugging percentage...paced team with 15 multi-hit and nine multi-RBI contests... posted eight-game hitting streak from May 4-17...went 3-for-5 with two double and three RBI at Butler (5/11)...tallied three hits and two runs at Duquesne (4/17)...was 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI at Pittsburgh (4/2)...went 13-for-25 (.520) in five game stretch from Mar. 17-Apr. 2...2002 Luke Easter-Wahoo Club Memorial Scholarship recipient
