2008 - JUNIOR SEASON
Was selected with the 1,499th pick (50th round) of the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft by the Colorado Rockies... CSU's No. 1 starter who finished the season with a team-leading five wins... went 5-3 with a 5.11 ERA, finishing second in the league with 64 strikeouts... made 12 appearances with 11 starts, spanning 81.1 innings... fired eight innings, giving up one run on four hits with a career-high 11 strikeouts in win at Evansville (3/14), earning Horizon League Pitcher of the Week honors... pitched eight innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on eight hits with five strikeouts to earn a win over Wright State (4/5)... just missed complete game, lasting 8.2 innings, in win over Milwaukee (4/19), giving up four runs with eight strikeouts... fired a complete game, four-hitter, giving up one run and fanning eight in 3-1 win over Butler (5/16), earning his second Horizon League Pitcher of the Week honor of the season... pitched 8.1 innings in league championship opener against Milwaukee (5/21), retiring 19 straight batters at one point... batted a team-leading .341 (15-44) in 16 games... tallied three doubles, one triple and drove in six... had two hits and drove in two at Morehead State (3/12)... went 4-for-5 with two runs and an RBI at Valparaiso (3/29)... aided own cause with a two-run triple, finishing 2-for-4 against Wright State (4/5), a game he also earned the win on the mound.
2007 - SOPOHOMORE SEASON
Was second on the team with 13 games started and 77.2 innings pitched... went just 2-9, but was hurt by a lack of run support, finishing fourth in the Horizon League with a 3.82 earned run average... was also fourth in the league with 61 strikeouts and walked just 34 batters... pitched a complete game, three hit shutout with eight strikeouts in first outing of the season, a 3-0 win over West Virginia (2/18)... allowed just four earned runs in his first 28.2 innings of work... worked seven innings, allowing just one run against Cincinnati (3/10)... pitched 7.1 innings of scoreless baseball, giving up just five hits and fanning seven in a 3-0 win over Butler (3/13)... pitched 7.1 innings, surrendering just two runs on eight hits and fanning six in a 2-1 loss to Milwaukee (4/21)... led the team with a .278 (25-90) batting average... went 12-for-34 (353) over his final eight games as a DH to raise average 46 points to .278... totaled nine runs, six doubles, two homers and nine RBI... went 3-for-6 with two runs and two RBI against Pittsburgh (5/15).
2006 - FRESHMAN SEASON
Tied for second on the team with nine starts...also made two appearances out of the bullpen...worked 4.0 shutout innings of relief versus Youngstown State (5/20)...pitched 6.2 innings in no decision against UIC (4/9)...allowed just one earned run in 6.1 innings at Youngstown State (4/18)...struck out five on two occasions, at Duquesne (3/29) and versus Pittsburgh (5/3)...fanned four batters in 5.0 innings at Cincinnati (3/17).
HIGH SCHOOL
Conference and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Player of the Year as a senior...earned all-section honors and was named to the conference all-star team two seasons...went 12-1 with a 1.35 ERA his senior year...compiled a 19-2 record and 73 strikeouts in 75 innings in two seasons...helped team to conference and sectional championship and a third-place showing at state his senior year...team finished as conference and sectional runner-up his junior season...also lettered one season as a guard in basketball.
