    Head Coach Jay Murphy will once again have to wait until the end of wrestling season before gaining the services of third baseman Stipe Miocic.

    2002 — Freshman Season
    Solidified the hot corner after joining team in mid-March following the completion of the wrestling campaign...played in 38 games, earning 33 starts...batted .227 with three home runs and 13 RBI...also scored 15 runs...went 2-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored versus UIC (5/5)...collected two hits and scored twice at Kent State (5/1)...was 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored in first career start at Ohio (3/17).

    Competed in baseball, football and wrestling at Eastlake North, earning a total of eight varsity letters...led Rangers to sectional and district baseball championships...placed first in sectional and regional wrestling championships and second in state wrestling championship...earned wrestling all-america honors.
