    Ethan Anderson is the diamond in the rough that coaches dream about finding. A late-comer to the game of basketball -- he only started playing last year in prep school following a growth spurt in high school that left him standing 6'8". An accomplished tennis player in high school, he has the quickness and agility to contribute in the paint and he is quickly learning the intricacies of the game. He needs only time and repetitions to learn the college game.

    PREP SCHOOL
    • Played one season of competitive basketball at The Lee (Maine) Academy, playing for coach Carl Parker
    • Came off the bench to average 8.1 points and 7.4 rebounds in 12 minutes of action in his lone season.

    High School
    • First team all-state selection in tennis as a senior at Grand Rapids High, playing for coach Percell Singleton.
    • Did not play organized basketball in high school.
    • Lettered four times in tennis, twice in football and once each in soccer and golf in high school.
    • Was a two-time all-city and all-area choice in tennis, earning the honor as both a sophomore and senior.
    • Voted team MVP as a senior after advancing to the regional finals in tennis.
    • Received Iron Man Award in football as a senior.
