High School Notes…Earned four letters in basketball between Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia and Williamsport (Pa.)…As a senior at Simon Gratz, averaged 10.8 points and 9.4 rebounds a game & turned in highs of 24 points and 22 rebounds…Defensively, accounted for 5.2 blocks per outing…Started as a freshman and senior at Gratz…In his final season, the Bulldogs captured the Philadelphia Public League title, advanced to the final four of the state championship and finished 23-4…At Williamsport, averaged 24.0 ppg and 4.0 bpg his sophomore year as the Millionaires won the district title and advanced to Pennsylvania state championship final four…Earned all-city, all-district and all-league recognition…Was named team captain and team MVP as a junior…Tabbed all-state as well as all-city, all-district and all-league after averaging 26.0 ppg and 5.0 bpg that season…Also earned a pair of letters in cross country (Williamsport) as well as a monogram in track (Simon Gratz).
