Jason Holder is an athlete who is hungry to play basketball at the Division I level. When he becomes eligible in mid-December after sitting out a year to meet NCAA initial eligibility requirements, the athleticism and emotional energy that he will bring to the court will help to lift the play of the Vikings.
2004-05 SEASON:
Enrolled at CSU in January, 2005 and participated briefly with the team until the NCAA determined that he needed to sit out a season to meet initial eligibility requirements.
PRE-CLEVELAND STATE:
Three-year starter at Arthur Hill High, playing for coach Greg McMath.
Helped team set school record for wins with a 22-2 record as a senior. Squad was ranked early in the year as the No. 1 team in the state.
Ranked as the No. 7 wing forward in the state as a senior by MichiganPreps.com.
Earned honorable mention all-league mention all four seasons.
Played AAU basketball for the Michigan Hurricanes prior to his junior year and for the Team Michigan AAU before his senior campaign.
Lettered in track as both a freshman and sophomore, running a leg in the 4x400 relay while also competing in the high jump.
