Miscellaneous
The game marked the second time this season (and in three seasons under Mike Garland) that CSU played to overtime, with the Vikings winning both games. CSU is now 36-30 all-time in overtime games.
The win snapped a three-game CSU losing streak, improving the Vikings to 5-8 overall and 1-3 in Horizon League play. Detroit dropped to 9-9, 3-2.
CSU claimed its second win in the last three meetings with the Titans, improving to 6-7 in the Wolstein Center versus Detroit. CSU is now 8-28 all-time against the Titans.
Detroit's Brandon Cotton, a first team All-Horizon League choice last year, did not play for the second straight game (hand).

Carlos English missed both free throws to leave the game tied at 48-48. Detroit then turned the ball over with 2.4 seconds left on a bad pass by Chuck Bailey.
CSU had a 41-33 rebounding advantage. It was only the fourth time in 13 games that they out-rebounded their opponent.
