    l This was the lone exhibition game of the preseason for the Vikings, who are coming off a 26-11 season in 2008-09. CSU will open the regular season at St. Bonaventure on Friday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m.
    l This is the second straight year that CSU played JCU in an exhibition contest. Last year, the Vikings handed the Blue Streaks an 81-33 setback.
    l JCU went on to post a 25-5 mark and entered tonight's game ranked second in the nation in the NCAA Division III preseason poll.
    l John Carroll opened up leads of 8-2 (15:03) and 11-6 (13:28) in the first half before CSU ran off 13 straight points to take a 28-17 advantage with 3:30 left.
    l CSU opened the second half on a 10-2 run in just 1:32 to open up a 48-31 lead (18:28).
    l The Vikings showed good passing skills, handing out 24 assists on 31 field goals.
    l The Vikings forced 29 John Carroll turnovers in the game. (25 was the most forced in 2008-09)
    l After going just two-for-nine from three-point in the first half (.222), CSU warmed up, hitting eight-of-14 in the second stanza to shoot .435 for the game (10-23).
