Postgame Notes
Cleveland State's 30 three-point attempts this evening represent the second-highest single-game total in school history. The Vikings are now 26-49 all-time in season openers, including a 33-42 mark at home. The loss was only the third in 10 season lidlifters played at the Wolstein Center. In home openers played at the Wolstein Center, CSU is now 8-7.
Junior center Patrick Tatham went over the 1,000 mark in career minutes played. He came into the game with 999 career minutes and played 26 minutes in the contest. The only other current Viking with 1,000 minutes in their CSU career is junior Victor Morris, who came into the game with 1,334 career minutes.
Morris reached double-figures in scoring for the first time in 15 games and for the ninth time in 54 career games. His 16 points are the most for him in a game since he poured in 18 versus Eastern Michigan on Dec. 23, 2004.
Morris tied his career high for three pointers with three tonight.
Junior Raheem Moss connected on three triples this evening. Last season, he set a CSU record by averaging 2.63 treys per game. Senior Frashon McGee reached double-figures with his 11-point performance this evening. Florida A&M senior forward Darius Glover, a preseason All-MEAC choice this year after averaging 11.0 points and 5.3 rebounds last year, did not make the trip to Cleveland.
In the last meeting between the two schools (11/25/03), the two teams combined for 111 free throws and 82 fouls, in the game tonight there were 31 combined fouls and 34 free throws.
