J'Nathan Bullock
• Led all scorers with a season-high 29 points, 16 coming in the first half. It was his 15th career 20-point game and the second-highest scoring total in his career (39 vs. Green Bay, 2/11/08).
• Attempted nine free throws to move past Franklin Edwards (520) and into third place on the CSU career free throw made list with 525.
• Was 10-for-13 from the field (.769), making both three-point field goal attempts.
• Playing in his 100th game as a Viking, he started for the 76th consecutive contest (4th-best).

Norris Cole
• Scored in double figures for the fifth time this season, finishing with 12 points.
• Added five rebounds and three assists.

D'Aundray Brown
• Scored in double figures for the fourth time this year, finishing with 10 points.
• Handed out a career-high 6 assists (old high 4 vs. several opponents).

Cedric Jackson
• Despite missing playing time because of fouls, finished with 6 points, five assists and four rebounds in 22 minutes.
• The Horizon League leader in steals, he made three to raise his season total to 22.

MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
• This game was the Horizon League opener for both squads, making it the earliest league opener in CSU history (old start, 12/8/07 vs. Youngstown State).
• CSU entered the game with a commanding 24-7 lead in the all-time series vs. Valpo, including wins in all three meetings last season.
• CSU never trailed in the first half (one tie at 2-2), using a 14-0 run to open a 20-4 lead with 8:13 left.
• Valpo countered with eight straight points to close to within 20-12 (6:25), but an 11-0 CSU run pushed he lead to 31-12 (0:59) and CSU led, 31-14 at half.
• An 8-0 CSU run to start the second half extended the lead to 25 (39-14) and CSU never looked back.
• With CSU leading 53-38, Valpo head coach Homer Drew was assessed two technicals and ejected from the game. Bullock made all four free throws.
George Tandy equalled his career high with 10 rebounds (also vs. Florida Atlantic).
• CSU had a rebounding edge for only the second time this season, 38-28.
• Valpo shot a SU opponent season low .313 (15-48), including a five-for-25 effort in the first half (.200).
• CSU forced 22 turnovers, made 10 steals and scored 31 points off turnovers.
