CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State Department of Athletics will host Viking Madness on Friday, Oct. 17, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Wolstein Center.

Viking Madness, a part of VikeFest, celebrates the beginning of the Cleveland State men's and women's basketball seasons. It is free to the CSU community and general public and the first 1,000 fans will receive a free 2008 Viking Madness t-shirt. Raffle prizes will also be awarded throughout the event.

Grand Prize Raffle Tickets are currently being sold by Greek Council and the CSU Basketball teams on campus for $1 to anyone with a valid CSU ID and prizes include:

-Two airline tickets to anywhere in the Continental U.S. courtesy of Continental Airlines
-Four Spring Semester Student Parking Passes
-A chance to shoot at half-court for a 2009 Pontiac G6!

You must be present at Viking Madness to win prizes. You can also buy Grand Prize Raffle tickets while at the event!

There will be free food, games and a variety of other entertainment throughout the evening. In addition, CSU will be sponsoring a free concert by Baby Bash following the conclusion of Viking Madness.

Tickets are required and will be available soon at Student Life, the CSU Bookstore, the Recreation Center, the Main Classroom Auditorium and other locations to be determined, while supplies last (4 per fan).
