Sept. 17, 2009
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Members of the Cleveland State men's and women's basketball teams will spend part of their weekend saying hello to the fans of the programs when they take part in a fan event on Saturday (Sept. 19) from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Crocker Park in Westlake.
Fans will get a chance to meet and greet CSU's basketball players and coaches, obtain autographs, receive 2009-10 ticket information and enter a contest to win a CSU Basketball Ticket Package.
"Our fans mean everything to our program so it is a good thing when we have the time to get out into the community and say thanks to them for everything that they do," CSU men's basketball coach Gary Waters said, "With the start of practice just a couple of weeks away, we want to let them know about the changes that we have made and what they can expect this year."
"The women's basketball program appreciates the support from all of our fans and this is a great opportunity for us to get out in the community and thank them," CSU women's basketball coach Kate Peterson Abiad said. "We are very excited about the upcoming season and to have this opportunity for Viking fans to come out and get a glimpse of what they can expect from us this season."
Fans attending the event will also be able to watch a live broadcast with Q104's Alan Fee with those in attendance being eligible to win prizes courtesy of Q104.
