Mid-Vike Madness to Take Place Oct. 12

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State Department of Athletics will host Mid-Vike Madness on Friday, October 12th beginning at 8:00 pm in the Wolstein Center. Sam Sylk of Z107.9 will host the event.

The event, which will feature the CSU men's and women's basketball teams, will be held in the Wolstein Center for the first time ever. Mid-Vike Madness is free and open to the CSU community and general public.

Tickets are required and are available beginning Oct. 1 at any Cleveland area IHOP or any of the following locations on the Cleveland State campus, while supplies last:

Student Life Offices (UC 102)
UC Atrium (Mon.-Fri.: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm)
CSU Bookstore
Recreation Center (Mon.-Fri.: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm)
Viking Hall (Mon.-Fri.: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm)
Fenn Tower (Mon.-Fri.: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm)

There is a limit of four tickets per fan, while supplies last.

A variety of events are slated for Mid-Vike Madness, including entertainment groups, games, contests, giveaways, and the first basketball practice of 2007.

In addition, the first 1,000 fans will receive a free Mid-Vike Madness t-shirt. There will also be prizes awarded throughout the evening, including two parking decals and two book scholarships.

Other prizes include an annual membership to the CSU Recreation Center, a one night stay at the Downtown Wyndham, ticket vouchers for the Lake Erie Monsters games on Oct. 16-17, prize bags from Qdoba Mexican Grill, gift cards to Applebee's, The Melting Pot, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory and Best Buy, four passes to the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame, four passes to the Great Lakes Science Center, six passes to the Museum of Natural History, and prizes from GNC in Crocker Park.
