CLEVELAND, Ohio - The first of three preseason episodes of the CSU Basketball Insider will air on SportsTime Ohio on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 and 10:00 p.m.

The CSU Basketball Insider features a look behind the scenes at the Cleveland State Basketball program. The first episode includes a profile on Viking junior Norris Cole, a discussion with head coach Gary Waters about the start of practice and the new players in the program and an interview with CSU Director of Athletics Lee Reed.

Subsequent episodes will be centered around the recently completed Viking Madness Event and an in-depth look at the first few weeks of preseason practices. Air dates will be announced later.

The CSU Basketball Insider is unique when compared to its counterparts across the country because it is exclusively being produced by the students in the School of Communication at Cleveland State. With the exception of veteran host Mike Cairns, the television voice of the Vikings, every role in the production of the show has been filled by a CSU student.

"On the behalf of the Viking basketball program, I'd like to sincerely thank Professor John Ban and the many students who dedicated their time to putting these shows together," Waters said. "Because of their effort, Viking fans will be able to see a unqiue perspective of our program and what goes on behind the scenes."

Once the season begins, the CSU Basketball Insider will give way to the fourth season of The Viking Basketball Report, with head coach Gary Waters. The first of 12 episodes is set to air beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
