CLEVELAND, Ohio -- J'Nathan Bullock, who averaged 16.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in three games last week in leading Cleveland State to the title at the O'Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic in Miami, Fla., has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week. The honor marks the first time in Bullock's career that he has received the honor. "I am happy for J'Nathan because he has worked very hard to be the best player that he can be," CSU head coach Gary Waters said. "More importantly, J'Nathan has developed into a great team player and in doing so, has sacrificed some things in order to make the team better. It is that kind of attitude that allows the program to grow and succeed." Last week was a memorable one for Bullock. By scoring 48 points in the wins over Saint Leo (72-62), Toledo (77-56) and Florida International (66-58), he moved into 10th place on the CSU career scoring chart with 1,318 points. Bullock started the week out right, scoring 22 points with nine rebounds in the win over Saint Leo, his 14th 20-point game in his CSU career. He followed that up with 10 points and six rebounds in the blowout of Toledo and capped off his week by tallying a game-high 16 points with seven rebounds vs. FIU. For the week, he averaged 16.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.7 blocks, shooting .463 from the field (19-41), .333 from three-point (2-6) and .667 from the line (8-12). A starter in all six games this year, Bullock has started 75 consecutive games in his career, the fourth-longest total in CSU history. His next game will be his 100th as a Viking.
