CENTERVILLE, Ohio - Cleveland State finds itself in third place heading into Tuesday's third and final round at the Dayton Spring Invitational. The Vikings had held a slim two-stroke lead after the opening 18 holes at the 6,923 yard, par 72 Golf Club at Yankee Trace.

UW-Green Bay (306-292--598) holds at 10-shot lead over St. Bonaventure (308-300--608), while CSU rounds out the top three at 618 (304-314).

The Phoenix's Eric Mabee leads the race for medalist at even par (71-73--144), four shots clear of Butler's Chris Spitler (73-75-148). Duquesne's Jon Pratkanis is in third at 149 (76-83), while Mike Rutgers leads the Vikings at 150 (73-77) -- good for a tie for fourth. Doug Barber is tied for ninth after carding a 152 (75-77).

"This morning's round was a sign of what we are capable of doing as a team," CSU head coach Tom Porten noted. "We slipped a little in the afternoon, but give Green Bay and St. Bonaventure credit -- they both turned in very nice rounds. I am looking for a strong finish out of us tomorrow."

The tournament concludes on Tuesday (April 26) with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
