CHARDON, Ohio - The third and final round of the Cleveland State Invitational, which scheduled to begin Tuesday (Sept. 12) morning, has been cancelled due to unplayable conditions on the course. The start of the round was delayed by 30 minutes due to rain overnight and another band of heavy showers moved through at about 9:15 a.m., leaving Sand Ridge GC unplayable. More rain was expected to move into the area around noon. Eastern Michigan edged out Eastern Kentucky by a single stroke to win the team title, while EMU's Chris Ross claimed medalist honors at 146, besting EKU's Jessie Massie by one shot. Sophomore Jake Scott finished in a tie for seventh at 150 as the Vikings wound up fifth out of 11 schools. CSU is in action again on Sept. 18-19 when it takes part in the Kansas Invitational.
