CINCINNATI, Ohio - Cleveland State carded identical rounds of 297 on the first day of play at the Xavier Invitational and stands 17th at 594 (+18). Louisville leads the 19-team field at 19-under par, 557 heading into Tuesday's final round. The teams are competing at the 6,921 yard, par 72 Oasis Golf Club. After a solid performance in the morning, Louisville put together a 12-under, 276 to surge ahead by four strokes. The host Musketeers are in second at 15-under, 561, while Austin Peay is seven shots back at 564. Xavier's John Streibich fired back-to-back 67s to claim the individual lead at 10-under par, 134. Louisville's Daryl Fathauer is a shot back after carding a 64 in the afternoon, while a group of three golfers are at seven-under, 137. Mike Rugers leads the Viking contingent at even-par, 144 -- good for a tie for 28th. Doug Barber is five shots back in a tie for 54th, while Jake Scott (T65th) and Steve Weir (T69th) posted scores of 150 and 151, respectively. "I'm pretty disappointed with today's scores," CSU head coach Tom Porten said. "We were one-under par as a team through 12 holes in the afternoon and fell apart down the stretch. A lot of teams went low in the afternoon and we just couldn't match it. We'll see if we can get things turned around tomorrow." The tournament concludes on Tuesday (Oct. 11) with 18 holes in the morning. Team Leaders: Individual Leaders:
