Cleveland State golfers Kristen Obush (Indiana, Pa./Indiana Area) and Mike Bognar (Seven Hills, Ohio/Normandy) have been named the Horizon League women's and men's Golf Athletes of the Week for the week ending Apr. 8, the League announced Wednesday.

Obush picked up the women's honor after carding a two-round score of 154 to take first place at the Lady Bison Classic on Apr. 5-6. Her score helped to guide the Vikings to a sixth-place finish in the tournament.

Bognar shot a three-round total of 221 at the Belmont Invitational on Apr. 7-8 to finish 32nd overall as the men's team went on to place ninth out of 21 teams.

Obush becomes the second CSU women's golfer to earn the award this season after Carma Rieck (Southport, Ind./Southport) earned the distinction on Sept. 11. Bognar is the third men's representative of the year, following Christian Komsa (Tecumseh, Ontario/E.J. Brennen) on Oct. 23 and P.J. Myers (Westlake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) last week on Apr. 2.

The Viking golf teams continue their spring season on Apr. 13-14, with the women competing at the Ashland Invitational and the men's squad taking part in the Bullock Collegiate Classic at Wright State.
