Steve Kehoe will be the rookie on Curtis' staff this upcoming season. Kehoe will serve as the graduate assistant and will work closely with the Viking defenders.

"Steve has a kean sense of what is required of a good defense," Curtis said. "The Cleveland State defenders will only improve from his experience and work ethic."

In 2003, he was a member of the Rio Grande Redmen, that won the NAIA National Championship. Kehoe was also a three-time All-America selection by the NSCAA before leaving to pursue a professional playing career.

Following the championship season, Kehoe was invited to the Major League Soccer combine in January 2004. He played professionally for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the United Soccer League, in 2004.

"Steve birngs a high level of playing experience," Curtis said. "Anyone who captains a team to a national championship knows how to be successful and lead a team."

Kehoe hails from Anglesey, Wales where he played on both the Welsh Boys School under-18 team and the Welsh College under-19 team.

Kehoe received a bachelor's degree in sports and exercise science from Rio Grande with a minor in biology. He is working on his master's in education and exercise science.
