Xavier and Duquesne came into Robert F. Busbey Natatorium Saturday afternoon and left battered and bruised after the Cleveland State men's and women's swimming and diving teams took three of the four overall competitions. The men dominated both contests, knocking off Duquesne 128-66 and Xavier 126-74. The women blasted Duquesne 123-78, but fell short against the Musketeers, 103.5-101.5.

The men's team, led by the usual suspects - juniors Andrew Hancock (Cambridge, Australia/St. Mary's Senior) and Thiago Lazarini (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Grossmont CC), and sophomores Warren Vickers (Durban, South Africa/Durban) and Lyle Wilkens (Bloemfontein, South Africa/Midland CC) - took home 10 of a possible 11 first-place finishes, grabbing a second when freshman Gabriel Linton (Nora, Sweden/Rudbecksskolan) lost by :00.03.

The women tabbed five first-place finishes - two by senior Audrey Gray (South Euclid, Ohio/Brush), and one each by senior Georgian Peric (Euclid, Ohio/Euclid), sophomore Jen Catton (Tecumseh, Ontario/Belle River) and freshman Helene Vorster (Senekal, South Africa/Oranje Girls School).

The teams are back in action Monday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. when they host Bowling Green and Niagara at Busbey Natatorium.
