Wally Morton From The Olympics

Aug. 13, 2008

Contact: Wally Morton

This will be a short report as it was a long but terrific day.

We spent most of the day on the Olympic Green and at the Olympic Village meeting with Nedim and his Coach from Iceland. It made me very proud to have a long lunch with him surrounded by the best athletes in the World.

We met some incredible people. It was a facinating look behind the scenes with about 10,000 athletes living in the village. It truly is a city within a city.

Nedim looks great, and is looking forward to his swim tomorrow. He is living a dream and I am so impressed with his ability to enjoy the moment. I will be at the Water Cube tosupport him and will have lots of pictures. He sends his best to everyone.

Nedim's life has been to go to the Cube, return, eat and go to the cube. He is so appreciative to CSU for the opportunity to be an Olympian.

He will check in once he competes.

We saw the USA Women's Basketball team play tonight and they are awesome.

As for Beijing, it is the most incredible modern city in the world! They have truly turned this place intoDisney World but better! One modern sky scraper after another, etc.

Forbiden City and Tienemen Squarecan not be described with words. The people as always at the Olympics have been wonderfuland will check in tomorrow.

Wally
