Oct. 30, 2002 CLEVELAND - Cleveland State senior swimmer Andrew Hancock (Cambridge Gardens, Australia/St. Mary's) has been named the Horizon League Men's Swimmer of the Week for his performance last Saturday at UW-Green Bay. In CSU's opening meet, Hancock picked up where he left off after being named the 2002 Horizon League Swimmer of the Year. Hancock was dominant against the defending league champions - winning three events to help the Vikings defeat the Phoenix 131-100. He earned victories in the 1,000 free (9:59.67) and the 500 free (4:50.46), as well as setting a UWGB pool record of 1:54.28 en route to taking top honors in the 200 fly.
Cleveland State is in action again on Saturday, Nov. 9 when the Vikings host St. Bonaventure at 1:00 p.m.
