WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team had another successful day at the Purdue Fall Invitational Saturday, with freshman Clark Bilinovich earning an appearance in the championship match in the E Singles Flight.
Playing in the E Singles Flight, Bilinovich picked up a pair of wins Saturday to advance to the championship match of the draw tomorrow. Bilinovich, who stands at 3-0 in singles play this weekend, picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win over Illinois State's Cameron Petersen, followed by a 6-4, 7-5 win over Chicago State's George Botha. Bilinovich will now take on Leon Kah of Purdue Northwest at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Raul Teichmann split his matches in the D Singles Flight Saturday, notching a 6-4, 7-6 win over IUPUI's Sean Bailey before falling to Brian Pecyna of Valparaiso in the semifinals.
Matthew Terry picked up a consolation victory for the Vikings on Saturday, earning a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Purdue's Stephan Koenigsfest in the A Singles Draw.
Play at the Purdue Fall Invitational will conclude tomorrow (Sunday, October 7), beginning at 9:00 a.m.
