"I thought our No. 1 doubles team played really well for their first outdoor match and Matt Ford pulled out a great win after a very long match. Playing outside is a lot different than playing indoors, so it was good to get the first outdoor match under our belts. Hopefully we will be able to grow from today's match and turn it around tomorrow against Central Florida." Matt Ford picked up CSU's lone victory on the day, earning a 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles. Ford's victory gave him a team-high 11 singles wins on the season and marked his third win out of the last four matches. Cleveland State's No. 1 doubles team of Ali Shabib and Niklas Jonsson had a strong showing against UNF, falling 8-7 (9) in a tiebreak match. North Florida was able to sweep the doubles matches, and earn straight set victories in the other five singles matches for the 6-1 victory Saturday afternoon. The Vikings will continue their Florida roadswing tomorrow (Sunday, March 10), with a 2:30 p.m. contest at Central Florida. North Florida 6, Cleveland State 1
