Castillo is a hard-working wrestler who takes pride in everything he does on the mat. He will provide solid depth at a majority of the middle weight classes.
2008-09 - Junior Season
Ended the year tied for fourth on the team in major decisions with three...led the Vikings at the CSU Open, finishing with a 3-2 record...recorded eight wins on the season.
2007-08 - Sophomore Season
Won three matches competing at 149 and 157 pounds...earned one victory at the Eastern Michigan Open.
2006-07 - Redshirt Season
Competed solely in open meets, going 1-4 with 1 pin.
2005-06 - Freshman Season
Competed in 15 matches at 141 and 149 pounds...wrestled twice at the CSU Open (12/18)...earned the starting nod at 149 in CSU's 31-6 win over John Carroll on Nov. 22.
High School
Four-time letter winner in wrestling, competing at 135 and 140 pounds...named conference freshman of the year in 2001...tallied 169 takedowns as a junior, the most in school history...team won league championship his junior season and sectional championship as a junior and senior.
