Takima Keane spent her freshman season learning the collegiate game, as well as the CSU offensive and defensive systems. With experience playing at the international level, she has the ability to receive an extended role this season. Keane is strong and explosive going to the basket, but also has a soft touch from three-point range. She provides CSU with size and quickness on the defensive end, having the ability to guard on the perimeter and down low.

2008-09 - Freshman season
• Received action in 12 contests, averaging 1.8 points and 0.5 rebounds in 4.8 minutes per game.
• Hit 8-of-17 (.471) from the field, including 3-of-5 (.600) from three-point.
• Scored a career-high five points - hitting 2-of-3 from the field - at Youngstown State (1/17).
• Hit both of her field goal attempts for four points at Niagara (12/21).
• Hit her first career shot - a three-pointer - at American (11/28), adding two rebounds.

High School
• Spent three seasons as a member of Canada Basketball's National Elite Development Academy which features the top-12 athletes in Canada.
• The NEDA team participated in several national and international tournaments throughout the school year, including the Canada Basketball Invitational Tournament.
• Played her freshman and sophomore seasons at Sinclair Secondary School, helping team to two regional titles.
• Spent three years (2003-05) as a member of Canada's Centre for Performance, which brought together the top-40 athletes in Ontario.
• Was a three-time participant at All-Canada Basketball Weekend where she was named a top prospect.
• A member of Team Ontario, which captured National Championships in 2004 and 2007, as well as a silver medal in 2005.

Born April 19, 1990 in Scarborough, Ontario . . . daughter of Hugh and Karen Keane . . . has one brother, Kaza, and one sister, Kalisha, who will be a junior on the Michigan State women's basketball team this season after earning honorable mention All-Big 10 honors as a freshman . . . was an honor student . . . psychology major.
