    Brittany Korth, a former Cleveland State guard who helped the Vikings to their first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2008, is in her first season as an assistant coach at her alma mater.

    A native of Clinton, Wis., Korth spent the 2010-11 season as an assistant coach at IUPUI after serving as a graduate manager at Cleveland State the previous two season, helping the Vikings win the 2010 Horizon League Championship and a berth in the NCAA tournament.

    The first recruit to sign at CSU with head coach Kate Peterson Abiad in 2003, Korth went on to earn four letters for the Vikings, helping lead CSU to its first-ever Horizon League tournament title and NCAA tournament bid in 2008. She averaged 9.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game as a senior, knocking down 64 three-pointers, the second most in a single season in school history.

    She saved her best for last, averaging 11.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists in the 2008 Horizon League Championship, helping the Vikings win their first-ever league tournament title. Korth's first career double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds helped the fourth-seeded Vikings to a 90-66 upset at top-seeded Green Bay in the semifinals and advance to the championship where the Vikings defeated Wright State.

    A four-year letterwinner, Korth finished her career as CSU's all-time leader with 120 games played, a record that has since been broken. She ranks second in school history in three point field goals made (166) and attempted (583), fourth in games started (99) and fifth in assists (583).

    Korth gradudated from Cleveland State in 2008 with a degree in psychology and earned her master's degree from CSU in sport management in 2010.
