Shannon Sword showed down the stretch last season that she is capable of carrying a team offensively. Cleveland State's all-time leader in three-point field goal percentage, she is an excellent finisher around the basket, but can also step out to the three-point line. The Vikings will also count on her defensive presence in the post.

• Enters the season as Cleveland State's all-time leader in three-point field goal percentage (.364), also ranks 10th in field goal percentage (.438)
2002-03 -- Junior Season
• Stood 14th in the league in scoring (11.7 points per game) and 12th in rebounding (5.5 rpg)
• Also ranked among the conference leaders in field goal pct. (11th - .466) and defensive rebounds (9th - 4.00)
• Was nearly unstoppable in the Horizon League Championship, averaging 19.5 points per game and 8.5 rpg in CSU's two games
• Set career-highs with 21 points and 12 rebounds in semifinal game against Detroit on March 7
• Tallied 16 points in career-high 38 minutes at Detroit on March 1
• Scored 20 points against UW-Milwaukee on Feb. 8
• Recorded double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds in win over Butler on Feb. 1
• Came off the bench to tally 16 points and six rebounds in victory against Youngstown State on Jan. 8
• Posted 18 points and seven rebounds versus Niagara on Nov. 30
• Posted 19 double-digit scoring games and averaged 16.8 points per game over the last nine contests of the season
• Started 22 of 29 games played, including each of the last 17 contests
• Led the team in rebounds seven times
2001-02 -- Sophomore Season
• Earned team's Most Improved Award
• Averaged 9.1 points per game (26th HL) and 4.9 rpg (17th HL)
• Also ranked among the league leaders in field goal pct. (.435 - 15th) and three-point pct. (.429 - 4th)
• Shot team-best .885 from the free throw line, but fell two makes shy of qualifying for the league leaders
• Notched 30 points and 16 rebounds in season-ending swing through Chicago (Feb. 21 & 23)
• Pulled down career-best 11 rebounds to go along with 10 points versus Detroit on Feb. 9
• Scored career-high 17 points and grabbed 10 boards in win over IPFW on Feb. 4 for first career double-double
• Recorded 10 rebounds at Butler on Feb. 2
• Posted 16 points at Detroit on Jan. 12
• Paced the Vikings in rebounds on five occasions
• Scored in double-digits 12 times
• Played in all 28 games, starting the last 16
2000-01 -- Freshman Season
• Averaged 2.1 points per game and 1.8 rpg
• Set season-highs against UW-Milwaukee on Feb. 10 with 12 points, four blocks and two three pointers
• Recorded five points, seven rebounds and three steals against Butler on Feb. 24
• Tallied seven points and seven rebounds in win over Belmont on Jan. 6
• Made 9-of-13 (.692) free throw attempts on the year
• Played in all 28 contests, averaging 6.9 minutes per game
Miamisburg H.S.
• Finished as the all-time leading scorer at Miamisburg with 1,151 points
• Earned special mention all-state, as well as first team all-league, all-area and all-region honors in 1999-00
• Team MVP while averaging 22.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game her senior season
• Holds school single-game scoring record with 38 points
• Named one of the top 300 seniors by Ohio Girls Basketball Magazine
• Played AAU basketball for the Dayton Surge
• Also earned all-league honors in volleyball and softball, garnering a total of 10 varsity letters
