INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Cleveland State senior guard Kailey Klein has been named the Horizon League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period of Feb. 1-7 following her performances in CSU's two games last week.

The selection marks Klein's third weekly honor from the league office this season and the eighth of her career, tying her for the third most career awards in Horizon League history.

The Cherry, Ill., native averaged 26.0 points and 12.5 rebounds while posting a pair of double-doubles in Horizon League action last week, while also becoming the all-time scoring leader in program history.

Klein enters this week's games with 1,877 career points.

She recorded 21 points and 11 rebounds in the Vikings 62-51 victory over UIC on Thursday and then registered a season-high 31 points and career-high 14 boards against Loyola on Saturday.

The Horizon League's 2009-10 Preseason Player of the Year continues to pace the league in scoring (16.5), while also ranking fifth in blocked shots (0.8) and sixth in rebounding (7.5).
