Crain's Cleveland Business Details Vikings Golf

May 23, 2002

Cleveland State was always a Division One school, but golf was a "club sport," and team members were "walk-ons." That changed in 1992, when athletic director John Konstantinos provided minimum NCAA funding for scholarships. The men's roster has 10 players and three scholarships; the women's roster has seven players and 2.5 scholarships.

Head Coach Tom Pottern, now in his tenth season, has made a name for the Vikings men's and women's golf programs. Below you will find a link from the Crain Cleveland Business Journal from late April.
