Women's Golf Finishes 18th at Tennessee Tech Classic

Sept. 12, 2001

The Cleveland State Women's Golf Team participated in the Tennessee Tech Lady Eagle Classic at Ironwood Golf Club on September 10 and 11. The Vikings completed the tournament with scores of 451-434--885 which placed them 18th overall.

Nancy Bowling, a newcomer to the CSU linksters, paced the team with scores of 100-95--195 and a tie for 72nd overall. Senior Jen Varhola (Mentor, OH/Mentor) finished one stroke back of Bowling with a 74th-place score of 196.

The Murray State Golf Team won the event with scores of 316-314--630. The team was lead by individual winner Cuyler Hedley and second-place finisher Megan Rees, who finished with scores of 147 and 156, respectively.
