Curvelo Resigns As Women's Soccer Coach At CSU

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Sonia Curvelo has resigned her position as head coach of the Cleveland State women's soccer program as announced by Director of Athletics John Parry on Thursday.

"I'd like to thank John Parry, the CSU staff and student-athletes for the opportunities that were presented to me during my time at Cleveland State," Curvelo said. "I want to wish the women's soccer program and the entire department all the best."

"We appreciate the contributions that Sonia made to our women's soccer program and we wish her the best in her future endeavors," Parry said.

Curvelo recently completed her third season as head coach of the Vikings and went 20-29-4 during her tenure at CSU, including berths in the Horizon League tournament in 2014 and 2015.

A national search for Curvelo's replacement will begin immediately.
