Krause, Sowinski Named All-Ohio

CLEVELAND -- Cleveland State seniors Sarah Krause and Dani Sowinski were each named to the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association 2018 All-Ohio NCAA Division I team.

Krause was named First Team All-Ohio, while Sowinski was named to the second team.

The duo helped lead the Vikings to an 11-7-1 overall record and a 6-2-1 record in the Horizon League. The Vikings finished second on the Horizon League regular-season standings and advanced to the Horizon League Tournament Championship match for the first time in school history.

Krause, who was named First Team All-Horizon League, scored five goals and notched seven assists and led Cleveland State with 17 points on the season. Her seven assists ranks second in single-season history at CSU and she was also named Third Team All-North Region by the United Soccer Coaches.

Sowinski, who was also named First Team All-Horizon League, established a new school record with nine assists on the season and finished the year with 11 points.
