CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland State women's soccer team will conclude its preseason schedule with a friendly against Duquesne on Friday (Aug. 16) at 2 p.m. on Krenzler Field.
This will mark the third consecutive season in which the Vikings and Dukes have met in the preseason. Cleveland State defeated Duquesne 2-1 on Krenzler Field in 2017 and the teams battled to a 0-0 draw in Pittsburgh last year.
Cleveland State will be playing its second exhibition match of the preseason on Friday after playing Buffalo to a 1-1 draw on Aug. 12 in Buffalo. Duquesne will also be playing its second exhibition match of the preseason having defeated Kent State 2-1 on Aug. 13.
After spotting the Bulls a 1-0 lead in the first period, the Vikings got the equalizer from freshman McKenna Donahue in the third period.
The teams are scheduled to play two 45-minute periods with no overtime.
Cleveland State will open the regular season on Aug. 23 at Kent State at 7 p.m.
