CLEVELAND, Ohio - Shea Levi scored her first goal of the season to help Cleveland State to a 1-0 win over Notre Dame College on Thursday night at Krenzler Field.
The win improves the Vikings to 7-3 this season, while NDC fell to 4-2. The seven nonleague wins are the most in program history.
CSU dominated play, outshooting the Falcons, 14-3.
However, it wasn't until Levi's goal in the 63rd minute that the Vikings got on the board.
Levi took possession of the ball after a shot was blocked and fired a shot from just inside the box on the right side, beating the keeper to the upper left corner.
CSU had a chance minutes later to make it 2-0, but NDC's Kristy Kolschetzky stopped a penalty kick.
The Vikings also had an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.
CSU is back in action on Sunday (Sept. 25) when the Vikings head to Green Bay for a 1:00 p.m. EST match.
