CLEVELAND, Ohio - Milwaukee scored five first half goals, including four in the first 19 minutes and claimed a 7-0 win over Cleveland State in Horizon League action on Friday night at Krenzler Field.

CSU fell to 4-8-1 overall and 0-3-1 in the Horizon League, while Milwaukee improved to 11-2-2 (3-1 HL).

"Milwaukee is a very good team with a lot of speed and they are extremely technical," head coach Derek Falor said. "They came out with a point to prove and did just that. This just goes to show that it is important to have some intensity in training. We need to come out with a lot of passion and intensity on Sunday and get back on track."

Kayla DeJardin got the Panthers on the board at the 13:57 mark with an unassisted tally and Keara Thompson made it 2-0 less than a minute later with her second goal of the season.

Sarah Hagan scored the Panthers next two goals, coming at the 18:37 mark off a Kate Megna assist and one minute later off an assist from Erin Kreuser. There were her 12th and 13th goals of the season.

Sarah Talbert netted a penalty kick with seven minutes to play in the first half to make it 5-0.

Laurel Ragalie and Chelsea Colling scored second half goals for Milwaukee.

CSU's Shannon Saunders made four saves, while Erin Kane and Leslie Deebach combined to make five saves for UWM.

The Panthers scored their seven goals on just 16 shots, while the Vikings finished with six shots.

CSU returns to action on Sunday (Oct. 12) when the Vikings host IUPUI at 12:00 p.m. in CSU's final nonconference match of the season.
