Josie Henry is in her third year as an assistant coach at Cleveland State.

Her duties with the Vikings include working with the pitchers, taking care of the team's travel plans, assisting with recruiting and coordinating CSU's community service efforts.

Prior to her arrival in Cleveland, Henry served as a graduate assistant at Minnesota State-Mankato, where she primarily worked with the outfielders and pitchers. While there, she earned her master's degree in sport administration.

Henry is a 2004 graduate of Ashland University, where she earned third team All-America honors in 2003, leading her team to a conference championship and two regional berths. A three-time all-region and all-conference selection, she was also a CoSIDA Academic All-District second team selection in 2003.

Henry graduated as the career leader in ERA (1.11), strikeouts (1,109), innings pitched (792.1) and complete games (99) for the central Ohio program, while ranking second in wins (77). Her career ratio of 10.2 strikeouts per seven innings ranks fourth all-time in NCAA Division II and her 1,109 career punchouts places her fifth on that list.

The former Josie Nelson resides in Medina, Ohio with her husband, Geoff.
