CSU Women 6th After Day One Of Horizon League Championships

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Cleveland State women's swim team finished the first day of the Horizon League Championships in sixth place with 54 team points Wednesday at Flames Natatorium at UIC.

 

The Vikings started the day with a sixth place swim in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:39.20. Freshman Brittany McCann was the lone CSU swimmer in the 1,000 free, placing 19th with a time of 11:16.19. CSU then closed the day by clocking a 1:50.96 in the 200 medley relay, a performance good for fifth place.

 

Wright State leads the women's standings after the first day with 170.5 points, followed by UW-Milwaukee (154.5), UW-Green Bay (139), UIC (109) and Youngstown State (60). After CSU in sixth, Butler is rounds out the standings with 50 team points.


 

 

 

Day two of the league meet continues Thursday.
