The Vikings (218.5 points) had been neck-and-neck with Youngstown State in the meet's second and third days, but fell behind the Penguins in the final day. The lone team to finish below Cleveland State was Butler, who tallied 157 points.

"We had some good swims to finish a very challenging year," head coach Mike Lehto said. "We never backed down or gave up and we finished the season on a positive note."
