GREEN BAY, Wis. - Sophomore Katie Bellew won the 100 and 200 fly events and senior Marianne Lionell won the 200 breast CSU's 179-97 loss at UW-Green Bay on Saturday (Oct. 28). The Vikings are now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in Horizon League action.

Bellew clocked a 2:12.38 in the 200 fly and a 1:00.37 in the 100 fly. Both times were season-best efforts. In addition to Lionell winning the 200 breast (2:30.65), she placed second in the 200 IM (2:18.79) and 100 breast (1:08.61).

"Overall, we had some very good times," head coach Mike Lehto said. "UW-Green Bay is very tough and is the team to beat in the league. Even though we didn't win, we swam well."

After sitting out last week's meet at home against Valparaiso due to injury, sophomore Jen MacLauchlan returned to the lineup and scored with a second place finish in the 200 back and a third place finish in the 100 back.

"It was good to have Jen back, but she hasn't been able to be in the water as much as we'd like," Lehto said. "But even though she's been out, she's still our fastest swimmer in the backstroke."

The Vikings travel to St. Bonaventure for a dual meet on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 1:00 p.m.
