INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The women's swimming team split its season-opening tri-meet against a pair of Horizon League rivals Sunday in Indianapolis. The Vikings defeated Butler, 128-81, and lost to UW-Green Bay, 141.5-77.5.

Sophomore Jen Catton (Tecumseh, Ontario/Belle River) claimed victories in the 500 and 1000 free to pace the Vikings. In addition, freshman Helene Vorster (Senekal, South Africa/Oranje Girls School) picked up a win in the 200 free.

The Vikings are in action again on Nov. 10 when they travel to Olean, N.Y. to face St. Bonaventure at 1:00 p.m.
