Youngstown, Ohio - Freshman Joanna Olsson went three-for-three in her individual races, winning the 1,000 free and 200 fly in record setting fashion, leading Cleveland State to a sweep of the competition in tonight's quad meet. The Vikings were victorious over the host Youngstown State 139-102, Canisius 182-58 and Malone 194-24 after winning seven out of the 12 events during the meet.

"We had a very strong performance from our women's team today," head coach Wally Morton said. "Last year we came away with loses from this meet, and this year we have turned the tables and walked away with three convincing victories. I am very proud of the women's team and how their training is going so far this season."

Olsson led the Vikings, setting two CSU records in the 1,000 free (10:19.16) and the 200 fly (2:05.76), besting the previous records by three and one second(s) respectively. She has now set three program records through just four meets this season. She also won the 200 IM in 2:10.80, winning all of her individual races.

Alice Sommerville and Carys Behn each won two events, Sommerville winning the 100 free in 53:46 and the 50 free in 24.57. Behn touched first in the 200 (1:55.08) and 500 free (5:08.03).

Sommerville teamed with Michelle Ferro, Emily Simard and Whitney Hickey to win the 400 medley relay in 4:04.01.

Ferro also finished first in the 200 back for the Vikings, finishing in 2:09.33.

Kacey Cummings placed second in both the 1- and 3-meter diving events, scoring 250.65 and 240.65 points in each event.

"The depth on this team is amazing this season," Morton said. "You can really begin to see the depth that we have on the squad with the number three and four swimmers starting to come on strong and contribute in a great way."

The Vikings return to action on Tuesday (Nov. 10) when they host the City College Meet with diving starting at 3:00 p.m. and swimming events starting at 5:00 p.m. John Carroll, Gannon and Notre Dame (OH) will travel to Busbey Natatorium to take part in the meet.
