Whitney Roggenburk is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Cleveland State tennis programs. Roggenburk played tennis as the No. 1 singles player at the University of Utah from 2003-2005 before transferring to Florida State in 2005. At Utah, Roggenburk was named team captain during her freshman and sophomore years and was an All-Mountain West selection. While at Florida State, she helped bring the team from the top-50 to the top-20. After graduating, she served as team manager, assisting with matches, practices and coordinating travel. "I am very pleased to have Whitney on the staff this year," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "She gives the team a variety of assets to learn from. She will be a quality hitting partner, another voice in the weight room, and has a unique perspective from playing major college tennis. I am positive that she will help lead us to new heights this year." Roggenburk graduated with a degree in psychology and a minor in child development. She is currently working on her masters degree in speech and hearing at Cleveland State. |
