Columbus, Ohio - Ohio State handed the Vikings a loss in their first match this spring, sending CSU to a 7-0 defeat in Columbus. Sophomore Sarah Galon gave the Buckeye's No. 1 singles player a task, forcing a tie in the second set before dropping the tiebreaker 7-5.

"Our scores today were a lot better than they were last season," assistant coach David Howell said. "If they hit the ball like they did today in the league championships, they are going to do very well. This was a quality performance overall."

The Vikings host Dayton at the River Oaks Racquet Club this Friday (Jan. 28) beginning at 6:00 p.m.
