CLEVELAND - In their return from the mid-season break, the Cleveland State women's tennis team fell to Toledo, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at the River Oaks Racquet Club in Rocky River, Ohio. The Rockets took all six singles matches in straight sets.

Though the Vikings lost each of the singles matches in two sets, several of the matches were close. At number four singles, Paulina Reyes took Toledo's Dani Moran to 7-5 in the first set before falling, 6-2, in the second set. Marcella Capozziello, playing at number five singles, fell 6-3 in the first set, then had her opponent, Betsy Hoffman, on the ropes in the second, leading 5-4, before falling 7-5.

With the loss, the Vikings fall to 1-4 on the season, while Toledo moves to 2-2.

The Vikings will return to play on Friday when they head to Warsaw, Ind., for a match against Eastern Illinois, before taking on IPFW a day later.
